Bishop's Palace

Ah, America. This palace was not built for a duke, but for a Galveston attorney, one Christopher Byrne, in 1888. Bishop Christopher Byrne had it purchased for him in 1923, thus Bishop's Palace. It's gorgeous and large, satinwood and white mahogany and rosewood . . . and its multiple fireplaces hail from all over the world.
