Located on Boykin Springs Lake, the area offers a little of everything, including camping, hiking, fishing, picnicking, or just getting in touch with nature. There are 33 locations for tents or recreation vehicles up to 24 feet long, and 4 sites for tent camping only. Trees surround the area, and each site has a picnic table, level pad and campfire ring which can be used for a cooking grill. A near-by picnic shelter accommodates up to 50 people. It is available on a first come, first served basis. Boykin Springs is known for its swimming area, and hot showers, drinking water and toilet facilities are available within a short distance of each camping site. A waste/dump station is available for RVs at nearby Caney Creek. There are no sites with electrical hookups. The 5½-mile Sawmill Hiking Trail winds through the forest to Bouton Lake. In consideration of other visitors, no off-road vehicles may be ridden in the area.
