Many counties have historical museums, a way to chronicle their history not only in archives, but in visual, dynamic ways to enhance the memories of both tourists and residents. Perhaps some counties do not have so interesting a history as Galveston, though. Pirates and hurricanes and Native Americans are the subject of the primary exhibit and the rotating exhibits illustrate the lesser-known aspects of Galveston’s past.
