Indian Mounds Recreation Area Campground

Indian Mounds Recreation Area, located on the 185,000-acre Toledo Bend Reservoir, is maintained and operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas. The area offers camping, fishing and boating all year. Whether in an RV or tent camping, visitors have 15 single campsites and 9 double campsites to choose from. Each site has a level pad, picnic table and campfire ring which can be used as a cooking grill. There are no sites with electrical hookups.

Drinking water and toilet facilities are available within a short distance of each camping site. A waste/dump station is available for RVs at nearby Red Hill Lake.

The area offers excellent opportunities for hunting waterfowl on the reservoir and hunting deer and squirrel outside of the campground area. Visitors can hike to the mounds for which the area was named. In consideration of other visitors, no off-road vehicles may be ridden in the campground.
