The full name is Mission de Corpus Christi de la Ysleta. During the Pueblo Revolt, the Tigua Indians took leave of New Mexico and settled near present-day El Paso. This mission was built in 1744, partly for them. Although partly ruined by a 1907 fire, parts of the original remain and the mission as a whole has been reconstructed, with the addition of a tower.
