Beginning as the Fort Worth Public Library and Art Gallery in 1892, the Modern Art Museum may be the oldest art museum in Texas, but it hasn’t stayed static. It hasn’t even stuck to the same building. The current building opened in late 2002 and it was designed by famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Thus does the modern, five-pavilion building match its art, which is all media and all post World War II.
