Abilene - Hiking

Abilene State Park is a beautiful place to hike - semi-arid, as befits a park in the high plains. You'll walk through prairie grass and stands of oak and mesquite both. Keep an eye out for fox and rabbit - and lots of wildflowers in the spring.
