This rough road requires four wheel drive, but isn't too difficult on its own - and the mountain uplift on either side is well worth the journey, not to mention the historic ranch at the end of it.

You'll need to check out a gate key from Headquarters Visitor Center before driving this road.

Begin from Pine Springs Drive - take Highway 82/180 for 8.3 miles until you see a brown metal gate to the north. Unlock this gate, drive through, and lock it behind you. You'll drive another 0.75 miles to another gate, which you will also unlock and lock behind you.
