Amarillo - Boating

Lake Meredith is a popular houseboating lake within a quick drive of Amarillo, massive and surrounded by mesquite grass and touches of red-rock. There are other lakes in the area, however, such as the aptly named Greenbelt Reservoir, which has a rather greener set of vegetation than Meredith.
