Hiking around in and around San Antonio can be a very mellow, parky experience with the traffic of the city kept damped down to nearly nothing by tree canopies. Or it can be a high-kneed ascent and tricky descent of an experience if you venture more into the canyons and steeper hills. It's all beautiful, regardless of which routes you try.
